  • LITIGATION SUPPORT ATTORNEY POSITION

We are looking to add an associate attorney to provide litigation support primarily in cases involving representation of insurers in bad faith and coverage actions, and cases involving defense of insureds per their insurance policies.

We anticipate that the majority of this attorney’s work will be analytical and managerial in nature and will involve assisting the primary attorney to conduct discovery and prepare cases for trial. That work will be done within the office.  We do not anticipate that this attorney would be required to represent clients in court or at deposition.

To fill this position, we are looking for an attorney (1) who is very well organized, (2) who has good attention to detail, (3) who is able to politely work with and supervise paralegal staff, (4) who is able to prioritize tasks and take initiative, (5) who has strong writing and research skills, and (6) who is able to work cooperatively as part of a litigation team to provide excellent results for our clients.  Experience in insurance bad faith, insurance coverage, and insurance defense would be helpful but we are also open considering entry level applicants.

This position could be a particularly good opportunity for an experienced attorney who wants to focus more on the intellectual and managerial side of law practice and less on the adversarial side of practice.  It could also be a good opportunity for an attorney seeking an entry level position in an insurance litigation firm.
