Born in Seattle, Sean graduated from the University of Washington School of Law in 1975 and was admitted to practice in Washington in that year. He served as a prosecutor and litigation attorney for the cities of Lynnwood, Tacoma, and Seattle 1974-1991, prior to becoming the director of the Litigation Division of the Seattle City Attorney’s Office in 1990. He retired from that position in 2009. Sean’s practice includes extensive trial work. His leisure time is spent whitewater kayaking and bicycling in the US and Europe.
